About Me

Hi! You can call me Gabby.

Born and raised in Quebec City, Canada, I moved to Texas in 2011 to work as a professional synchronized swimmer. I left my home town for a contract of one year. Many years later, a surprise wedding, three beautiful children, two yoga teacher trainings, friends that are like family, I find myself still in Texas. My husband and I have established roots here, all while raising little French speaking Texans.

Becoming a mother has changed me in many ways. I had to learn to slow down and reprioritize wisely. I found out the hard way that I needed to start taking care of myself in a spiritual way. Motherhood challenged me to experience the spiritual side of yoga. Helping me reconnect with my body, but most importantly allowing me to go through moving meditation. Calming my mind, quieting the chaos, giving me the space to feel whole again. I found that every postpartum journey was different from the one prior and I had to dive deeper into my yoga practice to reconnect with my inner being. I hadn’t experienced so much self-doubt until I became a mother. Over the years, I’ve learned to stop comparing my journey with other mothers. I went into motherhood with unrealistic expectations and held myself up to very high standards, where I found myself disappointed. I’m continually working on giving myself grace and the recognition that I am enough.

After three babies, I wanted to bring to  light some truths about the postpartum journey. I experienced serious pelvic floor issues after the birth of my third child. It was brought to my attention that many women do too, without reaching out for help. Often times women suffer in silence, dealing with many issues while continuing with their daily life. Meanwhile it's difficult to jump, laugh and sneeze in public for fear that we might wet our pants! I became very passionate about the pelvic floor, when it became apparent that I had little control over my bladder. I needed to understand why my body wasn't functioning the way I was used to it. That was the spring board to learning how to heal myself, and in turn wanting to help other women.

As a Registered Yoga Teacher and a Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, I am ready to work with you and guide you through your postpartum recovery. Together we will create a plan to help you manage your recovering pelvic floor and healing body;  so you can be the woman you aspire to be. My goal is to help you get ready to work out again safely and to reestablish a strong core foundation, starting with your pelvic floor. I can't wait to help you reclaim your body, mind, and spiritual self so you can show up as your best self for your growing family.
